#101 – July 28, 2019 – September Seva at Wisconsin Dera!

Dear Friends,

ISHA is delighted to announce two weeks of volunteer (seva) opportunities in September at Ishwar’s dera project in Bruce, Wisconsin.

The first week (Sept 7-12) is planned for just before the Meditation Workshop in Menomonie. The second week (Sept 17-22) is planned for the week after the Meditation Workshop and Mitti Seva day.

You will be able to register for any number of days that you can work. After you register, you will receive an email with additional information.

Although much of the work will be focused on completion of the Maintenance Shed/Greenhouse, there will be a great variety of volunteer opportunities, including work in the ISHA Garden. There will be work for volunteers with all skill levels and physical abilities. If you have construction-related skills, that’s great. But if you don’t, you can volunteer for support services (general tasks, food service, cleanup, etc.), or even serve as an assistant to a carpenter.

You will be responsible for your own lodging and transportation. At this time, there is no camping on ISHA land.

Volunteers should understand that there are risks associated with working at an outdoor construction project. ISHA will provide a safety lecture and protective gear for workers. All volunteers must sign a waiver holding ISHA harmless from any injuries that might occur while on ISHA property. You will be asked to sign the form upon your arrival at the worksite.
