It’s been an amazing summer of seva at Ishwar’s dera in Bruce, Wisconsin. Dozens of volunteers have participated in a grand diversity of projects, each of which advances Ishwar’s dream of creating a spiritual community in tribute to Ishwar’s beloved, Great Master Sawan Singh. However, there is always more seva than sevadars, so all seekers are invited to come to the dera and grab some of the abundance! Feel free to visit the dera any time between now and November 1, 2026. Ishwar’s mitti seva 2026 at the dera is September 18 to 21. On Saturday, September 19, we will be taking a tour of Ishwar’s newly painted Meeting Hall building with the full group of sevadars! Here are a few photos of the many projects undertaken by Ishwar’s friends during the last few months.
A group of happy friends who attended the May/June Mitti Seva event.
The group enjoyed a tour of the Meeting Hall on the hill.
And, they enjoyed the food that was prepared with such love and devotion!
During an evening campfire, one of Ishwar’s visionary friends pioneered the art of roasting eight s’mores marshmallows without burning any.
A large, highly visible, new sign was installed by the highway entrance to the dera.
As always, with an abundance of love and devotion from the local sevadars, Ishwar’s prashad garden thrived, producing an abundance of fresh organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers for all.
New walking trails were built through the picturesque and peaceful northern woods on the dera property.
Even Ishwar’s youngest friends yearned for seva!
Volunteers also installed a quiet patio outside the greenhouse, overlooking the prashad garden. It was immediately named The Greenhouse Cafe.
A huge bale of local hay, which is used as garden mulch, was brought in on the Dera Dump Truck.
One of the most exciting projects is the start of a large patio located between Ishwar’s House and the Dining Hall. These happy workers are installing a rain garden along the Dining Hall wall.
Visitors are treated to a perfect rainbow bridging Ishwar’s prashad garden.
