#85 – May 6, 2019 – Summer Seva Opportunities!

Dear Friends,

ISHA is delighted to announce the schedule for the 2019 summer volunteer (seva) opportunities at Ishwar’s construction project in Bruce, Wisconsin.

Although much of the work will be focused on completion of the Maintenance Shed/Greenhouse, there will be a great variety of volunteer opportunities this summer, including work in the ISHA Garden. There will be opportunities for volunteers with all skill levels and physical abilities. If you have construction-related skills, that’s great. But if you don’t, you can volunteer for support services (general tasks, food service, cleanup, etc.), or even serve as an assistant to a carpenter.

Here are the dates available for seva. These dates are set up to coincide with the ISHA Community Meetings in Chicago and with long holiday weekends, such as July 4th. There will also be seva opportunities in September to coincide with the ISHA Meditation Workshop.

     May  25 – 27
     June  29 – July 1
     July  4 – 7
     July  20 – 22
     August  17 – 19
September – the dates are probably 7-12th and 17-22nd. Mitti Seva is on the 16th.

To register, please send an email to ISHA.Dera.Seva@gmail.com, listing your name, the dates you can work, and any construction skills you have. After you register, ISHA will send you an email with detailed information.

All volunteers will be provided with a hearty lunch. You will be responsible for your own lodging and transportation. At this time, there is no camping on ISHA land, but there may be nearby camping options.
All volunteers should understand that there are risks associated with working at an outdoor construction project. ISHA will provide a safety lecture and protective gear for all workers.
All volunteers must sign a waiver holding ISHA harmless from any injuries that might occur while on ISHA property. You will be asked to sign the form upon your arrival at the work site.

Thanks for your interest in performing seva for Ishwar Ji on the ISHA lands in Bruce!

With warmest regards,
Paul Bauer
