Dear Friends,
As the ground thawed at the ISHA dera in northern Wisconsin, sevadars were busily planning Ishwar’s 2021 prashad garden.
This year, 72 vegetable varieties, 9 flower varieties, and 9 different herbs were carefully selected for suitability in our garden.
In early April, the planting trays were lovingly prepared for seeding in the dera greenhouse.
In the cozy, warm, greenhouse climate, the tiny seeds quickly germinated and emerged.
By early May, the joyous little seedlings were growing like weeds!
The irresistible aroma of basil diffused throughout the greenhouse.
Beautiful broccoli!
A jungle of celery!
Luscious lettuce!
Perfect parsley!
And by the end of May, the delicious-looking seedlings were ready for planting.
In the next blog, the garden is prepared and planted.
