Dear Friends,<\/span><\/div>\n

\nMany of Ishwar\u2019s friends were blessed with the opportunity to perform seva at Dera Baba Sawan Singh in 2024. \u00a0The most popular event was \u201cMitti Seva\u201d when 85 sevadars gathered for a long weekend in September. \u00a0There was an abundance of work to keep volunteers busy, and plenty of time to talk with old and new friends. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Below are some fun photos from Mitti Seva 2024.<\/span><\/div>\n

Fresh prashad vegetables were harvested in advance of the arrival of the chefs and the cooks.<\/span><\/div>\n

The new Pole Barn was transformed into a busy kitchen by the many food-service volunteers.<\/span><\/div>\n

Ishwar\u2019s skilled chefs used gallons of garden veggies each day for making delicious prashad pakoras!<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

Volunteers cleaned and prepared great amounts of potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, kale, squash, cabbage, onions, and other veggies for the lunch and dinner menus.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Ishwar\u2019s friends came from across North America, including quite a few Canadians. \u00a0The prize for greatest distance traveled was to a sevadar from Europe!<\/span><\/div>\n

Visitors enjoyed socializing and renewing old acquaintances.<\/span><\/div>\n

Once again, Ishwar\u2019s Prashad Garden was a center of attention for volunteers young and old.<\/span><\/div>\n

One group of volunteers built three new raised garden beds which will be filled with vegetables next summer.<\/span><\/div>\n

The new Pole Barn also served as the cafeteria.<\/span><\/div>\n

There are always things to painting at the dera.<\/span><\/div>\n

The storage container that is being transformed into a sevadar bunkhouse was carefully cleaned of rust in preparation for painting. \u00a0Here\u2019s the \u201cbefore\u201d view.<\/span><\/div>\n

A character who identifies as “Ishwar\u2019s Bo Bo\u201d happily at work in the workshop.<\/span><\/div>\n

On satsang day, the Pole Barn became the lecture hall.<\/span><\/div>\n

A full rainbow graced the prashad garden!<\/span><\/div>\n

The evening campfires are always popular venues \u2026 especially if a certain Bo Bo is toasting vegan marshmallows!<\/span><\/div>\n

Two major dera events are planned for 2025:<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0May 23 – 26, 2025 (Memorial Day weekend)<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0September 19 – 22, 2025 (Mitti Seva)<\/span><\/div>\n

Volunteers are also invited to visit the dera any time between May 1 and November 1. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
