Dear Friends,<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the recent big jobs at Ishwar\u2019s construction project in Bruce, Wisconsin was to pour the concrete floor for the ISHA Maintenance Shed\/Greenhouse. <\/span>Due to the size of the garage floor, the pour was divided into two sections, each of which is about half of the floor area.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
But, before the concrete could be poured, the building had to be emptied, and the dirt floor had to be prepared.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Here\u2019s the shed before any cleaning.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
And here\u2019s the building cleaned out!<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
One component of the preparation was to dig the dirt out from around the walls to create insulated footings.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Foamboard insulation was installed to form the footings.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The insulated footing boxes were filled with concrete. <\/span> <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Then, a base of gravel was spread and compacted by the volunteers.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Wooden forms were built to contain the concrete.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
A sevadar cuts rebar using a steel-cutting grinder.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
And finally, a rebar grid is built across the floor, and we\u2019re ready to bring in the concrete.<\/span><\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
