The lower level of the ISHA Meeting Hall dome will contain a circular dining hall capable of seating 200 people at tables. Connected to the dining hall will be a large, keystone-shaped commercial kitchen (approximately 1400 square feet) that will provide all of the space and appliances required for our sevadar chefs to feed hundreds of hungry satsangis.<\/span><\/div>\n

Here\u2019s the preliminary design of the kitchen space.  The kitchen will contain two walk-in freezers, a big refrigerator, a fryer, a mixer, pot stoves, a big griddle, large ovens and ranges, lots of food preparation space (both tables and counter space), five sinks, a mighty dishwasher, a jumbo-sized pantry, and generous storage spaces. <\/span><\/div>\n

In September, the construction volunteers excavated the circular basement area, as well as the kitchen area at the northern end of the building. This is a view northward across the circular basement hole, where the excavator can be seen digging out the keystone-shaped kitchen space.<\/span><\/div>\n

Here\u2019s a view from the north end of the kitchen, looking back across the lovely pit. The driveway entrance to the Meeting Hall will be located approximately where the white truck is parked in the far distance.<\/span><\/div>\n
